For the mission "The Starless Skies" during the first half of the year, the USS Saturn was awarded its 2nd "Meritorious Unit Citation" in July 2009.
The Meritorious Unit Citation is bestowed not upon any individual within the fleet, but upon a simulation as a whole. The simulation should be noted as an outstanding simulation due to the combined efforts of all members of the simulation during the time the award is given for. All members in good standing of the simulation during the period in which the citation is awarded may personally display the associated ribbon on dress uniforms.
Criteria for this award include a high number of posts for any given mission/activity in which the simulation is engaged in, as well as the simulation's direct contribution to making the fleet stand out in one aspect or another. This commendation should be presented along with a notation of the time period for which it was awarded.
